What properties can SJL cover?
We can offer landlords insurance for a range of properties including Residential Lets, Commercial Lets, Blocks of Flats, Student Lets, Unoccupied Properties, Holiday Homes and Household.
Can contents cover be included?
Yes we can include contents cover for your let property, simply let us know the amount you wish to insure. We also have the option to offer contents only insurance.
Can you insure a property if it is let out to Students or DSS tenants?
Yes we have the facility to offer insurance for a range of tenants which may be turned down by other insurers.
Can you insure a property that is undergoing renovation?
Yes we can insure properties that are undergoing renovation work, also if they are unoccupied and undergoing renovation. Cover in these cases is usually restricted to Fire, Lightning, Explosion and Aircraft only.
How do I obtain a quotation for my landlords insurance?
Simply telephone one of the SJL sales team who will be happy to take down the details of your property. We will then give you a call back with the total premium.
What if I want to cancel my landlord insurance policy?
You have the right to cancel your landlords insurance policy at any time. In many cases you will receive a full pro rata return of the premium. There is no cancellation fee.
How can I make a claim?
If you need to make a claim please contact us via telephone on 01905 27775 we will then ask you to complete the relevant form which will then be passed on to the insurer. Alternatively you can download and complete a claims form from our website- www.sjlins.co.uk.
